Every single day, our skin is exposed to negative environmental factors like pollution, dust, UV sunrays, chemicals and toxins.
Over time, this can cause various damage to the skin, and signs of premature aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and a dull complexion.
We suggest 10 beauty habits you should do every night before going to
sleep because the best time to take care of our skin is at night.
While we sleep the skin regenerates and if we pay extra attention to it before we go to bed we’ll have a healthier glow.
Remove Your Makeup
It’s very important to find time to remove your make up every night, no
matter how tired you are, as it can cause extensive damage to your skin during the night. The skin renews itself while you sleep, and when you leave makeup on, you are preventing that from happening. The skin ceases to breathe and fatigue signs appear soon enough.
If you have a layer of makeup on the face such as foundation, mascara,
lipstick, eye shadow, or highlighter, your pores get clogged, and you will end up with uneven skin tone, spots, and acne.
Use a Toner
You should tone your face using a toner every night before bedtime. In this way, you will restore the natural pH levels of your skin.
Our skin is naturally acidic, normally with a pH balance of between five and six. After cleansing, due to the alkaline nature of soap, the pH balance of skin gets disturbed. When this happens your skin needs to work overtime to restore the balance (and that may result in oil), but using a toner helps to restore this balance quickly.
Applying a small amount of toner to a soft cotton ball or pad and gently blotting and wiping your face with it will remove oil and give the appearance of smaller pores. For best results, use the natural one of pure rose water.
Apply Hand Cream
Before you go to bed wash your hands with mild soap and warm water, pat them dry with a cotton towel and apply hand cream. You will have soft and smooth hands throughout the day. It prevent appearance of premature signs of aging such as wrinkles or sagging skin.
Brush Your Teeth
After having your dinner, brush and floss your teeth prior to bedtime. In this way, you will help your mouth stay free from infections, cavities, and germs. Also, you will avoid bad breath in the morning.
